FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What is my fire insurance (ISO) rating?
We currently have an ISO rating of 8/9. A Class 8 ISO rating means that your residence is within 1000 feet of a fire hydrant. Not all homes in Harris County meet this requirement for Class 8 and are therefore rated Class 9. We are working to improve this rating and lower insurance costs for all families in the district.

Am I in the EVFD Fire District?
Fire District Limits: The EVFD provides fire protection coverage for the southeastern corner of Harris County.
Our district includes Ellerslie, the area south of Waverly Hall, down Highway 85 and Warm Springs Road through Midland up to the Muscogee County line. We cover the area surrounding GA HWY 315 east to Cataula and west to Talbotton. We also cover GA HWY 208 to the Cataula, Waverly Hall and Hamilton limits.
We have recently added a new system to help us track the addresses within our fire protection district. If you feel you have received our newsletter in error or want to confirm that your property or residence is within our district limits, please email us at evfdchief@gmail.com

How do I get a copy of a fire report?

If a medical emergency has occurred or is in progress, the Harris County 911 Center may request additional backup service from the EVFD to ensure quick response and adequate assistance at the scene.
